Demetrious mighty Johnson had a rough upbringing that caused separation with some of his family. His wife, who is white, and her family have embraced him. So, Johnson has been extremely intentional about connecting his children to his culture. 

He shares a story about the first time his son was called the “N-word”, but it’s actually not what you think. Still a teachable moment all the same.
