Mac Miller classic mixtape Best Day Ever was released 15 years ago today 💜💽 The title track set the tone perfectly, carrying an infectious optimism that runs through the entire project and captures an artist who was fully, unapologetically being himself.

On March 11, 2011, a 19 year old kid from Pittsburgh put out his fifth mixtape and changed the game. What felt like a laid-back, sun-soaked collection of tracks turned out to be the project that catapulted Mac into a new level of hip-hop. While he was building a buzz with his previous mixtapes, this is where the world really started paying attention and he was without a doubt one of the most exciting new voices in the scene.
