🖤 New York lost a broadcasting legend. I lost a dear friend and mentor.

Remembering Ernie Anastos — a Hall of Fame journalist, 30+ Emmy Award–winning anchor, and one of the most trusted voices in New York news. From anchoring NYC’s top evening broadcasts to creating Positively Ernie, his career in journalism shaped generations of viewers.

But beyond the legendary career, he was a man who lifted people up. He encouraged me, believed in me, and proudly called a segment “Positively Shelli.”

Ernie’s legacy in journalism, kindness, and mentorship will live on forever.

Keep fighting the good fight. ❤️
