Pluribus (plur1busappletv), the Apple TV+ thriller, anchors its storyline in Las Vegas with key sequences filmed inside the legendary Elvis Suite at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort (and along Paradise Rd.), the same hotel where Elvis Presley once lived and performed. The series originally carried the working title “Wycaro,” a name pulled from the fictional romantasy book saga written by one of the show’s characters, author Carol Sturka. In the world of Pluribus, Sturka’s novels—collectively known as the Wycaro series—are a major narrative thread, though the books didn’t exist in reality until Apple released a tie-in excerpt, Bloodsong of Wycaro, to expand the show’s mythology. In other words, the Pluribus series came first, and the “Wycaro” book materialized later as a companion piece to reinforce the show’s worldbuilding. Guided by Vince Gilligan, the visionary creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Pluribus blends the psychological tension of his earlier work with a sleek, high-gloss Apple TV+ aesthetic. Filming inside the Westgate’s iconic Elvis Suite infuses the series with unmistakable Vegas history and atmosphere, grounding its mystery-driven narrative in a location as storied as the show’s expanding fictional universe.
