Ruth Turner Perot worked behind the scenes during the Civil Rights Movement as a trusted aide to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., helping coordinate communication, logistics, and strategy during some of the most pivotal moments of the struggle for justice.

Her work reminds us that movements are sustained not only by speeches and marches, but by the people organizing, planning, and holding everything together.
