Can cow poop fuel big trucks? n the heart of Arizona's dairy country, a revolutionary fuel source is changing the trucking industry. These @ozinga trucks run on renewable natural gas (RNG) sourced directly from cow manure. It is a process that turns agricultural waste into a high-performance energy solution with nearly zero emissions. The cycle begins at dairy farms where manure is collected and sent to an anaerobic digester. Over a 30-day period, the waste is broken down to produce methane gas. This gas is then cleaned and compressed into RNG. The fuel is used in specialized engines to haul massive milk tankers weighing up to 120,000 pounds. This operation is a perfect example of a circular economy. Every part of the waste is reused. Water is reclaimed for irrigation and cleaning. The leftover solids are composted and returned to the barns as soft bedding for the cows. By switching to RNG, Ozinga is transporting millions of pounds of milk to suppliers while drastically lowering the carbon footprint of the supply chain. This partnership shows how the trucking and dairy industries can work together to create a more sustainable future for the land. What do you think about the future of renewable natural gas in trucking? Let us know in the comments. #Trucking #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #RNG #Logistics
