We’d be remiss not to acknowledge what’s happening right now: this month, more than 40 million Americans who rely on SNAP benefits are facing cuts to their food assistance.

As always, OAKLAND HAS STEPPED UP. 💪🏾 

Our community is rallying to support those navigating this uncertainty — and we’ve created a local resource list with info on food programs and pantries across The Town.

While SNAP benefits hang in the balance for hundreds of thousands, we’re calling on our village:

🧥 DONATIONS NEEDED: free food, clothing, winter gear, blankets — every bit helps.

VOLUNTEER WITH US us next week, November 11 from 7–11PM at The Loom Oakland for #SISALA, a food drive and benefit concert supporting those impacted by SNAP cuts.
