We are incredibly proud to share that our cultural affinity group, NiHao, has been awarded the Community Champion Award by First Lady Cecilia Abbott and the onestarfoundation for their 42nd Annual Governor’s Volunteer Awards. 🌟

Founded in 2021 as a cultural affinity group of North Texas Food Bank, the NiHao Food Bank Initiative has delivered nearly 3 million meals to neighbors facing hunger—uniting families, youth, and community partners through volunteerism, cultural fundraisers, restaurant collaborations, and advocacy. 💙

From monthly packing events and creative fundraisers to supporting the passage of HB 26 (“Food Is Medicine”) and raising the equivalent of 3 million meals, NiHao continues to make an extraordinary impact across North Texas.

Thank you to every volunteer, partner, and supporter who makes this work possible. We are so proud to celebrate this well‑deserved recognition!
