The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for week six of the 2023 XV season. Vegas Quarterback, Joe Mancuso, is the Offensive Players of the Week. Frisco Defensive Back, Michael LoVett, earns Defensive Player of the Week. Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Bryson Denley, Running Back for the Sioux Falls Storm.

Joe Mancuso – OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

When a team loses a former MVP Quarterback to injury, that generally means they struggle until he returns. Unless you have Joe Mancuso on the roster. 2019 IFL MVP Daquan Neal has missed weeks due to injury. Not only has Mancuso filled in admirably; he’s the Week Six Offensive Player of the Week. The Knight Hawks clobbered the Duke City Gladiators on Friday night. Mancuso had a career night, wracking up 248 total yards and seven total touchdowns; five through the air and two on the ground.

Michael LoVett – DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

When two great teams go head-to-head, the turnover margin is usually a good indicator of victory. Frisco won the turnover margin as well as the game when Arizona came to town on Saturday. Arizona only lost by 10 points, so their two turnovers loomed large. This week’s Defensive Player of the Week was responsible for both. Frisco Defensive Back, Michael LoVett had 2.5 tackles and two interceptions on the night as Frisco took down the Rattlers 52-42.

Bryson Denley – SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

For two weeks in a row, Sioux falls and Green Bay have been in a slugfest. The first of two meetings saw Green Bay leave Sioux Falls with a 47-41 victory. Friday was the rematch in Green Bay. This game was outstanding. It featured very few defensive stops and nine lead changes. Special Teams often make the difference in games like this. Sioux Falls Returner, Bryson Denley made his impact felt all night. His four kick returns totaling 140 yards (35 yard average) gave the Storm good field position throughout the night. One of those returns was good for 53 yards and a touchdown.
