Temporaries, but make them exceptional.

This patient presented mid-journey, having worn temporary veneers for over six months after relocating internationally. Unfortunately, without correct fit and ongoing monitoring, the smile began to work against the tissues rather than with them. This created some problems we had to address. 

We saw:
– Inflamed, discoloured gums
– Suppressed tissue growth
– A flattened gum contour
– An overall bulky, unnatural appearance

All of which are issues we commonly see when temporaries aren’t designed for the biology they sit within.

Our focus wasn’t just the teeth — it was setting the foundations right first. 

By controlling both the white and pink architecture, we were able to reset the entire smile frame.

The transformation:
– Healthy pink tissue restored
– A naturally scalloped gumline re-established
– Correct emergence profile so teeth appear to grow seamlessly from the gum
– Temporaries that already reflect the blueprint for the final porcelain

• 3D-printed lab refinements to fine-tune proportion, symmetry, and flow

Patients often ask why we allow several weeks before the wet try-in phase.

It isn’t just for the ceramic artistry to be perfected behind the scenes, it’s so the tissues themselves can adapt, mature, and stabilise. The gumline must settle into its ideal form before the final porcelain is introduced.
