🇮🇳⚽ Ronaldo in India? Perhaps the Spark Indian Football Has Been Waiting For..

Given the current challenges Indian football finds itself in, this news feels like a breath of fresh air..

Al Nassr have been drawn in the same AFC Champions League 2 group as Indian Super League giants FC Goa. There is still a distinct possibility Cristiano Ronaldo will not make the trip. His contract reportedly allows him to skip certain away fixtures, and it is not yet clear if India would be one of them..

But as someone who has spent years connecting Indian football with the global game, I can say that if Ronaldo does step out against FC Goa on Indian soil, the impact will be seismic..

The stadium would sell out in minutes. Media coverage would explode. Thousands of fans, who have only ever seen him on screens, would finally witness him live. For Ronaldo and his management team, coming to India would do wonders for his brand and elevate his status even further in one of the world’s fastest-growing football markets..

These moments do not come often. They can shift perceptions, ignite ambition, and show the world that Indian football is ready for the big stage..

Whether he comes or not, the buzz itself should be a reminder of the sport’s potential in India and why it must be ready to capitalise when opportunities like this appear.. 🤞🏼
