There’s fresh talk about whether Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) could finally be allowed to represent the Indian national football team.

India’s Ministry of Home Affairs is reportedly reviewing the long-standing rule that only allows Indian passport holders to play internationally.

My phone hasn’t stopped buzzing today — players, families, agents, and journalists are all asking the same thing: Could this really be the start of something?

I’ve been here before. We’ve seen discussions, task forces, and interest over the years. But this time feels a little more serious.
