⚽ South Asian Under-Representation - Where Do We Go From Here? ⚽

We have seen some momentum around the conversation on South Asian representation in football, but how do we ensure it doesn’t fade away? It’s easy for these discussions to flare up around events like the asianfootballawards, but the real challenge is keeping the conversation alive and driving sustained, meaningful change long after the spotlight fades.

Despite the passion, skill, and love for the game within our communities, the under-representation of South Asians in professional football—both in the men’s and women’s leagues—continues to be a major issue. We’ve taken steps forward, but there’s still a long road ahead to make sure more South Asian talent breaks through and shines on the big stage.

I have my own ideas on what needs to happen, but I want to hear from you. How can we ensure that this conversation doesn’t just come up once a year but becomes part of ongoing efforts to create real opportunities?
