If you’re waiting for life to get better without actually changing anything… you’re wasting your time

That sentence used to annoyyy me
Because I THOUGHT I was trying

I was showing up. Staying busy. Pushing through. Telling myself this was just “a phase”

And I kept waiting for the day I’d feel lighter, more like myself, fulfilled, less tired for no reason

But nothing changed…. because nothing around me changed
So how could I expect it to?

I was filling my life with things that drained me, then wondering why I had nothing left to give to the people I love, and the things I love doing 🥲

I had no energy. No excitement. No space for anything good to come in…

Things didn’t start to improve until I did - being conscious where I was spending my time, what I was choosing to spend my energy on…

It came from clearing things out that were only consuming me

Letting go of what no longer fit
Admitting some things weren’t meant for me anymore
Accepting that staying comfortable (comfortable being miserable) was costing me more than leaving ever would

And that’s when things finally started to get better…

Do with this what you wish - but remember you’re never stuck - only your mindset is 💕
