Two years ago today, the impossible became real.

I waited for you my entire life.I dreamed of you long before I ever knew your name.

Seventeen rounds of IVF. Miscarriages. False starts. So many moments that felt like endings—when in fact, they were imperfectly perfect detours…
all leading me to you. And oh, what a soul you are.

Today you turn two, and I’m still in awe that I get to be your mum. I genuinely catch myself staring at you dozens of times a day, pinching myself, overwhelmed with this single thought: you are real, and you are mine.You’ve taught me more about life than any book, boardroom, or breakthrough ever has.You are pure wonder. Fierce determination. Heart-exploding joy.

You throw a ball 100 times until you catch it- never giving up. You call out “Mama!” and grab my hand to take me on adventures. You giggle from your belly. You climb, dance, fall, and rise again.You are strong. And wild. And deeply kind.

And while motherhood is messy and hard and overwhelming some days…now I get it.
I get what keeps you going. It’s the milestones. The magic. The cuddles at sunrise. The tiny fingers wrapped around yours. The way your child becomes your teacher.

You are the greatest miracle I’ve ever known, Hugo. And not a single day goes by where I take you for granted. I remember exactly what it took to bring you into this world, and I’d do it all again for you.

To anyone still in the thick of the wait, or the heartbreak, or the not-yet—please don’t give up. Sometimes the greatest gifts take the longest to arrive. Sometimes the journey makes the miracle.

Two. Wow. Happy birthday, little love. You are everything.
