It’s always such a joy to speak in my hometown. 

The Byron Writers Festival is held right here in beautiful Bangalow, about three minutes from my front door. This year, I’ll be speaking alongside my gorgeous friend Sarah, who co-authored The Power of Two with me, and we’ll be in conversation with the fantastic Mandy Nolan.

We’ll be taking the stage on Sunday afternoon, which (in perfect timing) is the day before my next retreat kicks off here in Byron. If you’re coming to the festival and feel inspired to dive deeper, you’re so welcome to join us.

The festival wraps on August 10th, and my retreat begins August 11th. This next experience is all about building your personal brand ecosystem—and, after just running my most transformational AI retreat yet, we’ll also explore how to harness AI to amplify your creativity, elevate your message, and co-create the impact you’re here to make.

I’m also feeling especially excited this year, as many of you know I’ve just finished my debut novel—currently in its eighth round of edits (seven of them by me!) and now in the hands of one of Australia’s most respected editors. After 21 years of writing non-fiction, I can’t wait to return next year as a fiction author for the first time.

It’s always an honour to be part of this extraordinary gathering of storytellers, and I’m so looking forward to sitting in the audience for the other sessions, supporting fellow authors, and soaking up the inspiration over the three days.
