## Caption

Whytecliff Park is iconic for Vancouver; the island always looks majestic. This image is one of the commercial projects that I did for an office space. It was one of the memorable projects because it took 11 visits to get the image that I envisioned. I had to coordinate the tide levels with the migration of the sun and the moon. The rocks that connect the island kept appearing and disappearing following the tides. The water level had to be the right height. If it's too high, the island would look disconnected, and if it's too low the rocks would distract from the main subject. That day, the moon was in balance with the conjunction of Venus and Mars. That was impressive! This is a 3 image exposure blended into 1 in Photoshop CC. Manual blending helped to retain the details of the island and the rocks. Landscape is not my usual subject but I always enjoy the technical aspects of creating the images.
