I was once given career advice to speak 🗣️ up more often and “why aren’t you the first one to speak in the room?” 

Leaders speak up….. 

So I challenged myself for an entire year, I made sure I was first to speak in every room. 😂 Did that leader notice, no. 

But over time, I realized… it’s not about could I — it’s about should I?! Don’t speak up just to be noticed. Or because that’s what “success” looks like. Add value. 

Being a listener is a superpower. It brings clarity, builds trust, and creates real connection. That’s what I value most today.
