Anxiety isn’t always a mindset problem.

Sometimes it’s metabolic.

Around 90 percent of serotonin is produced in the gut.
Your gut microbes also influence GABA, dopamine, and inflammatory signals that directly communicate with your brain via the vagus nerve.

So when digestion is inflamed, sluggish, or disrupted, your nervous system doesn’t stay neutral.

It reacts.

Poor gut function can lead to:
• Blood sugar crashes that trigger adrenaline
• Low magnesium and B vitamins that impair calming neurotransmitters#• Inflammation that increases cortisol
• Poor protein breakdown, meaning fewer amino acids to build serotonin and dopamine
• Dysbiosis that alters stress signalling to the brain

Now imagine that happening daily.
That “random” sense of internal alertness.

The wired-but-tired feeling.
The tight chest for no obvious reason.

That’s not weakness. That’s physiology.

You cannot positive-think your way out of unstable blood sugar. And you can’t mindset your way through chronic inflammation.

Sometimes anxiety is the nervous system responding to instability in the body.
Which means support has to go deeper than just thoughts.

Start with:
• Protein within an hour of waking to stabilise cortisol
• Balanced meals every 3 to 4 hours
• Supporting digestion so nutrients are actually absorbed
• Repleting key minerals like magnesium
• Reducing inflammatory triggers
• Creating parasympathetic space daily

Mind and body are one system.

And when the body feels safe, the brain follows.
