…I discovered those spirit figures were carved into āmatl—a sacred fiber made from the inner bark of the wild fig tree.
That moment stirred something deep in me.

This is one of the origins of Papel Picado, 
and I knew I was meant to cultivate this art.

This piece is 15 feet long—hand-dyed, hand-cut—
moving with the wind, the water, and the story that shaped it.
