Brothers in Farm.

Awhmad and Aziz are two brothers who live in the Wakhan corridor in Afghanistan. They are if Waki ethnicity, a kind and timid people dedicated to agriculture and pastoralism. The ough valley floor is made fertile by the river that descending from the plateau of the little Pamir brings nourishment to the valley and then disappears into the river Amu Darya. Although life here is very difficult, the earth burned by mountain winds and the good season is very short, nature grants a thin arable area where with courage and hard work the two brothers grow and mature the fruits of the earth. Precious food that together with the milk of their flocks is a source of prosperity for the family. The work marks the days, the weather is calculated with the lunar calendar, wind and sun mark the face and working hands as the seasons run fast towards the long and icy winter.

Fratelli di terra.

Ahmad e Aziz sono due fratelli che abitano nel corridoio del Wakhan in Afghanistan. Sono di etnia waki, popolo gentile e timido dedito all’agricoltura e alla pastorizia. L'aspro fondovalle è reso fertile dal fiume omonimo che scendendo dall’altipiano del piccolo Pamir porta nutrimento alla valle per poi scomparire nel fiume Amu Darya. Nonostante qui la vita sia molto difficile, la terra arsa dai venti di montagna e la stagione buona sia molto breve, la natura concede una sottile area coltivabile dove con coraggio e duro lavoro i due fratelli fanno crescere e maturare i frutti della terra. Cibo prezioso che insieme al latte delle loro greggi è fonte di prosperità per la famiglia. Il lavoro scandisce le giornate, il tempo è calcolato con il calendario lunare, vento e sole segnano il viso e le mani lavoratrici mentre le stagioni corrono veloci verso il lungo e gelido inverno.
