The Sunflower Seamstress 🌻 

Kamala is a young Indian student. In the morning she devotes herself to training and in the afternoon she becomes a skilled and hardworking seamstress.
She likes to make herself useful and help the family cover the expenses.
Her favorite color is yellow which she recommends to all the girls who come to her in the evening to order a new dress. She says this color of the summer sun is perfect for any occasion, it brings joy and bright elegance whether it's for a traditional wedding or for one of the thousand parties that Indians love to share.
She lives in the old part of the city, her house is inserted in the popular neighborhood defined as 'slum' which, to tell the truth, more than a chaotic and repulsive Babel, gives more the idea of a small nice village in our countryside at the start of the century. Narrow streets, extended families, absence of fences, doors that are always open, shared properties because in simplicity there is no need for gates or chains. Everyone knows each other, everyone looks after everyone. The colored houses, the sultry alleys, the crowded little squares, the constant trampling of layers of petals that arise from the close coexistence with domestic animals, the flowers and garlands on the temples, the intense perfumes mixed with the acridness of the powder and spices, the noises of the many children, the ritual music, the thousand kites that are woven on the roofs of the houses characterize these alleys full of life, smiles and curious eyes.
