I can’t believe what I saw yesterday! 

So yesterday I was just walking along the street where I used to live before my current colourful flat and suddenly realized I was outside the home of Sarah ahometomakeyousmile! 

8 or 9 years ago, before we’d both really got into instagram, I lived in a small ground floor rental flat that was beige and cream, because I didn’t dare decorate a rental in those days and very scruffy, because I’d been on my own there since my kids were a baby and a toddler and it was hard!

Sarah lived opposite my back gate and our kids were at the same primary school round the corner. 

I was just starting my brand and needed a location to shoot the first collection. My slightly depressing flat was a no go, so Sarah very generously said I could shoot it in her big beautiful house opposite! 

It was an absolutely gift and some of those iconic photos were the key to the success of my brand when it launched. 

So just on the off chance yesterday I knocked on her door and we had such a lovely catchup. But what I hadn’t realized with all her astonishing and brilliant success on Instagram is that through her famous window you could see my old flat! 

Being in that room yesterday felt like being in an almost surreal historic time machine. 

Both our lives have changed so much since then and it reminded me how far I’ve come and how anything is possible. 

In fact the front cover of this reel is where we’ll be moving to next (temporarily), the next big adventure. But more on that another time. 

So back to now - thank you Sarah! For both then and yesterday.
