Obsidian River 🏞️

The two brothers of the Lijiang River always enchant us with the morning ritual of fishing with cormorants. Spending a couple of days with them is a great privilege, they are two 'elderly' but very lively guys, kind to us and kind to their cormorants. They are taken care of like family members. The place where they live is truly spectacular, today they do demonstration fishing for those interested it is necessary to get up at night and reach their village protected against humidity and wearing other fishing boots. The river and the peaks that surround it are at their best at sunrise and sunset. There are a thousand photos of them, I want to remember them like this, they move lightly like a floating leaf and their story is lost in a reflection on the obsidian-colored water.

I due fratelli del fiume Lijiang ci incantano sempre con il rito mattutino della pesca con i cormorani. Passare un paio di giorni con loro è un grande privilegio, sono due ragazzi ‘attempati’ ma molto arzilli, gentili con noi e gentili con i loro cormorani.
