I won! 

Morning everyone. What a night! I can’t quite believe that I won Best Dining Room sponsored by furniturebox_uk AND won the Overall Judges Choice Award in the ufurnishcom Home Awards last night! 

It was an incredibly talented group of finalists, so was a real honour to win in such company. 

Thank you so much to all of you who voted for me and to all the judges for their support. 

It was brilliant to meet so many of you IRL - some more pics coming on Stories soon. Sorry to anyone I didn’t get to chat to! 

deirdremcgettrick, Founder of ufurnishcom, was a star too - brilliant host and beautifully run evening. 

I am particularly proud of this dining area because it’s in a rental, so I couldn’t do anything to it structurally and just had to go for it with removable decor. And pretty much everything is upcycled! 

Here are the details - 

> Green wall - Sage and Onions by littlegreenepaintcompany 

> Blue window frame - Ocean Spray by duluxtrade 

> Table - spray painted in black gloss paint and white marble effect spray, both by craigandrosepaints 

> Chairs - secondhand from my sister and repainted ombré with tester pots 

> Blue glass lampshades - ikeauk 

> Hearth Tiles - self adhesive vinyl from Amazon

> Rug - secondhand from designersguild 

> Art - Breathe limited edition print by me! 

> Fluffy chair throws - argos 

> Fridge - wrapped in green vinyl (out of shot)

> Cupboards - ikea pac wardrobes clad in home made ZigZag paneling (out of shot).
