TOP 3 TIPS FOR BEAUTIFUL COLOUR PALETTES

Hello everyone! For those who haven’t seen my Stories, I’m actually in Mexico at the moment and totally inspired by all the colour here - my kind of place! 

So I thought I’d create a reel about what I think are 3 of the key elements to creating a beautiful colour palette using a shot of the recent kitchen spruce up thelittlewildfarm . 

So much great design is about CONTRASTS. Contrasts that reflect what you see in nature. 

So to create a beautiful colour palette I would always advise combining …

1. DARK & LIGHT colours

Here the dark blue/grey of the cabinets with the pale sage green of the walls. 

Charcoal by neptunehomeofficial & Museum by mylands_london 

2. BRIGHT & DULL colours

Here the rich rusts of the cushions and autumnal beach leaves with the muted wall & cabinet colours. 

Beach leaves picked form the garden & cushions from laredoute_uk 

3. WARM & COOL colours

Here again, the beach leaves and rust cushions are the warm colours and the walls and cabinets are the cool colours. 

So as you can see, these combinations don’t necessarily mean it has to be a complicated palette with lots of different colours, the contrasts can all be held within just three colours, for example, Charcoal, Sage Green & Rust.
