It takes a lot to capture these moments… the perfect storm and aesthetic composition, a pristine untracked foreground, and most importantly… a late burning sunset - pure pastels. 

This one took a number of attempts over the course of a few storms, more or less leaning upon the 19 years I’ve wandered within this location overlooking Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah (above altaskiarea and snowbird ). 

This multi-image panoramic showcases an incredible amount of detail…I absolutely love the waxing crescent moon within the pink clouds…the ski tracks scattered throughout the backcountry terrain, and the overwhelming history that encapsulates Grizzly Gulch within one glance down canyon towards the iconic Pyramid Gap and Chad’s Gap. 

I’m excited to add this piece to my artwork portfolio in the near future as a limited edition piece. Stay tuned.
