It’s hard to believe I’ve waited two years to showcase this project…mostly because I had to be patient, because it took that long to finalize the project and edit this documentary!

This was a 140-hour project in pursuit of a surreal and powerful image, chasing an idea in my mind that I could clearly see. I’m grateful and honored to have freeskiing icon and pioneer Tom Wallisch twallisch join me on this project and fully commit to my idea. Without his work ethic, we wouldn’t have been able to capture exactly what I had in mind, exactly what I knew was possible. This was hands down one of the most detailed and exhausting pursuits in my career.

This image was captured on May 25th around 11pm, on our second night of shooting…rebuilding the feature after it had melted. Tom hit the feature 44 times in complete darkness on the first night, and a couple days later we returned to potentially improve upon our results. This was probably his 60+ hit on the feature.
