Autumn grandeur graces the lower flanks of Mount Timpanogos within the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. 

I consider the Wasatch Mountains to be a beautifully unique location for fall foliage. The scrub oak and maples alone display a dramatic variety of color that I haven’t really seen in the Colorado Rocky Mountains (not specifically showcased well here). 

If anyone has more knowledge of why this occurs and what specific trees in the Wasatch compose this dramatic color palette, please drop some knowledge here, for me and the people!
