Enough with the landscape artwork... here's scottylago , a snowboarding icon, Olympic medallist, X-Games medallist, World Halfpipe champion... slopestyle and big air champion...OK enough of that!

It was fun to work with Scotty on this unique street feature in Ketchum Idaho, just a simple snowbank. I’m not sure how many times Scotty hit this, a freaking ton, probably 20+ times. Getting towed in at 40-50mph, Scotty was hellbent on getting the best frame equally as myself. Unfortunately on a couple of his biggest boosts, a few locals got in the way of the shot, popping up into my frame and also nearly running into Scotty on a snowmobile as he was getting towed in… it was a scary close call. 

I’m stoked on this shot. This was the second night of shooting on this feature after a little feature reshape to add a couple feet of height to the jump. I had 4 separate wireless flashes positioned, one lighting up the “Board Loop Ln” road sign to the left (how serendipitous is that!), one flash behind the lip of the jump to light his body up in the air, one big strobe lighting up the side of the hip feature, and the last wireless flash on the landing…backlighting him in the air. 

Anyway, here’s a few B.T.S. shots from that night, and one of the images that made my artwork portfolio! This image was also published in the thesnowboardersjournal in late 2019…one of two published snowboard shots I’ve had.
