Journey of healing: During my childhood, I noticed a contrast in the way boys and girls treated me. The boys in my neighborhood were kind and inclusive, extending their invitations to play football and walking with me to school. But, the little girls 👧 formed their own exclusive circles, organizing gatherings and engaging in activities without ever extending an invitation my way. Their mothers were friends, ensuring their daughters socialize together!

Those experiences left deep wounds within me, creating a barrier that constantly reminds me of my exclusion from female spaces and gatherings. Even though I am an supporter and advocate for women, I can't shake off the lingering feeling of being unwanted and unloved by my own gender.

Nevertheless, I now understand that these feelings are largely a result of the past trauma I endured. I recognize that my perception may be distorted by these experiences. With this newfound awareness, I aim to overcome the lingering effects of this challenging phase in my life.
