Something a lot of women were never taught.

If you are attractive and a straight male friend wants to do date like activities with you, there is a strong chance he is not there for friendship. 

Most of the time he is a suitor in disguise, waiting for an opening, using proximity and emotional access as a strategy.

This does not make him evil. It makes him human. But confusing that dynamic leads to mixed signals, disappointment, and unnecessary drama.

Set expectations clearly. Pay attention to behavior, not words. Friendship and attraction are not the same thing, and pretending they are only creates problems later.
