Few snaps from mikethurston ‘s latest mastermind weekend, where I had the honor of being a guest expert on short-form content and personal brand building.

As a small-town kid, I always knew there was something bigger calling me - something I couldn’t quite put my finger on yet. But my heart had been screaming since day one. I subconsciously filmed and documented almost every gym session and thoughts in my head, driven by a passion I couldn’t explain. I knew that content and self-expression came naturally to me since I was a teenager, and that one day, I could use it to help people and build something meaningful for both them and myself.

That inner voice proved to be right. Today, I get to share my mind and experience with people I once and still look up to with biggest admiration.

So, my message here is this, learn to separate your overthinking mind from your inner gut and heart. When you move with your heart first, your mind and body will follow - allowing you to become the most valuable and effective version of yourself.

Because if you’re doing work you’re not passionate about, you’ll always be competing with someone who is - someone who’s all in and truly loves what they’re doing. You should then only compete with the man in the mirror and outside noise will never matter to you, which I think is true freedom.

So, listen to your calling. Think big. And things will eventually fall into place. One day, you’ll become the person you needed when you started - your own North Star, crystal clear on who you are and who you want to become.
