I had an eye-opening conversation with Andrew Kiguel, the visionary leader behind Realbotix Corp., a company revolutionising the world of humanoid AI-powered robots.

During our discussion, Andrew shared an intriguing aspect of their technology: “We’ve even been approached by medical professionals to see if it can be used as a skin substitution for burn victims. That’s one piece of it that adds to the realism, and with the vision system leveraging the Nvidia platform, we can recognise people, objects, and situations.”

He also discusses the servos that power the robot’s movements: “These are the servos that make the robot move its elbows, smile, or even frown, bringing it to life in an incredibly lifelike way.”

He touched on the bigger picture: “I see a really cool opportunity. There are already robots used in military contexts today, like Boston Dynamics' creations. But we’re still years away from worrying about robots being used for nefarious purposes outside of military applications.”
