It doesn’t. While using a grid system can be a helpful tool in logo design, it's not an absolute requirement. The grid system can provide structure, balance, and alignment, aiding designers in creating cohesive and visually pleasing logos.

However, making optical adjustments and clear deviations from the grid can lead to a more balanced and appealing design.
