Disclaimer: This video is not made to hurt anyone who is a Vegan / Animal activist / anyone who holds any religious beliefs.
Nor do I support Adulteration of any food product
.
In PCOS / PCOD, there are many recommendations around Dairy products. Many experts ask women to avoid Dairy due to 3 reasons:

1) Lactose:
Lactose is a type of carbohydrate which is tolerated by our body to a certain limit. There are few people who are lactose intolerant. People with lactose intolerance should avoid dairy. But others can consume dairy (irrespective of having PCOS)

2) The way in which cattle is raised:
We see that cattle are injected with certain FDA approved hormones to increase production.
One fear that everyone has is that the FDA approved hormones which are injected in cattle also are present in the milk that comes out.
Please understand that hormones are signals. They do not come out in the milk like a chemical. These FDA approved hormones only signal the cattle to produce milk more frequently.
Now if someone can afford organic milk from grass fed cattle, please choose organic.
But for people who can’t afford it, you may continue with regular dairy products.
Also there is no reputed study / research which proves that dairy products are harmful for PCOS.

3) Adulteration of Dairy Products:
Adulteration of any food is bad and strict measures should be taken to restrict it.
For eg: Addition of Urea in milk, addition of trans fats in ghee. These can pose health risks.
Adulteration also happens in fruits, vegetables, grains, meat, honey, etc. All forms of adulteration are bad.

I hope this information helps you & removes the unnecessary fear of having good quality dairy products.

I would like to repeat again:
I do not promote adulteration / animal cruelty.
Please watch this video with a lens of nutrition science.
