Today you’re waking up in Arthur’s Pass National Park and ending it with a stunning west coast sunset! 🌅

After 4 visits to New Zealand, here’s how we suggest spending day 10:

💦 Morning: Devil’s Punchbowl Waterfall

Start your day with a short walk (45 minutes return) to this epic 131-meter waterfall in Arthur’s Pass National Park.

☕ Mid-Morning: Coffee in Arthurs Pass Village

Have a cappuccino at Arthurs Pass café and say hi to the keas* (NZ’s cheeky alpine parrots)! 🦜
*please never feed wildlife! It’s incredibly harmful to them.

You can also fill up gas here but it’s pretty expensive, so only do it if you HAVE to! ⛽️

🥾 Midday: Temple Basin Track

An awesome 3-hour hike (return) that takes you past a waterfall and up to an alpine hut where you’ll get the most incredible view of the surrounding mountains ⛰️

🚘 Afternoon: Drive to Greymouth

Drive 1.5 hours to Greymouth on the west coast where you’ll spend the night.

If you make it by 4pm, we highly recommend stopping by Monteith’s Brewery for a brewery tour and to try out one of NZ’s most iconic beers 🍺

🌅 Evening: Dinner & sunset

Have an early dinner at the brewery and then stroll down to the beach or Grey River / Māwheranui for a beautiful sunset over the Tasman Sea.
