Rise and shine (literally) because today’s the day you hike Roy’s Peak for sunrise 🌅

Here’s how we recommend spending day 5:

🥾 Morning: Sunrise hike to Roy’s Peak

Yes, it’s an early start (3am 😅) – but it’s so worth it. It’s a 3-hour hike with the most incredible views over the lake, Wānaka town, and the mountains 🏔️

We even saw a couple get engaged at the top! 🥹💍

🥞 Brunch at Scroggin

After the hike, reward yourself with brunch + a flat white at scroggincoffeeandeatery – they have great food and even better coffee ☕️

💙 Afternoon: Chill by the lake or visit the lavender farm

Take it easy with a swim in Lake Wānaka, grab an ice cream at patagoniachocolates, or visit wanakalavenderfarm 🍦🪻

🎬 Evening: Watch a movie at Cinema Paradiso

One of the coolest theatres we’ve ever been to. They do intermissions and bake fresh cookies halfway through the movie 🍪
