Most of my life has been defined by a commitment to safety and security. ⁣

As a former police officer and later a security consultant operating in some of the world’s most challenging environments, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when protocols fail and when individuals lack the critical intelligence needed to navigate risk.⁣

While I was equipped to handle complex security situations, I realised my family back home was often left with a ‘protocol gap’. ⁣

They knew I was safe, but they didn’t have the granular context – my exact itinerary, local contacts, or emergency plans – that would allow them to act decisively if something went wrong. A simple GPS dot on a map, while useful, tells only half the story. ⁣

It doesn’t convey intent, context, or the ‘golden hour’ information needed in a crisis.⁣

This gap – between the desire for independent travel and the need for genuine, actionable peace of mind for loved ones – is why I built MyTripLink.me.

mytriplink.me is a professional-grade web app designed to bridge that gap. It’s not about intrusive tracking; it’s about layered security and contextual intelligence. It empowers travellers, particularly solo travellers, to share a secure, dynamic trip page with their trusted network. ⁣

On that page, they can control exactly what information is visible – from detailed itineraries and emergency contacts to copies of vital documents – and even password-protect it for an added layer of privacy. ⁣

Crucially, its offline SOS feature ensures that even in remote areas, a single tap can alert their network with precise location data, triggering a pre-defined response protocol.⁣

I built MyTripLink.me for my family, and for every individual who believes that the freedom of solo travel shouldn’t come at the cost of their loved ones’ peace of mind. It’s a tool born from real-world security experience, designed to provide genuine reassurance and actionable intelligence.⁣
