There will always be other people running on the same path as you and running in the same race.
⠀
Some will be ahead of you, some to the side and some will be behind you.
⠀
Some will have support teams and some will be sponsored.
⠀
Some may have already run the race and won.
⠀
But if you spend all of your time looking around at others and what they are doing, what they have over you, how they are succeeding, how they are achieving more than you in what ever context, you’re going to trip up over your own feet before you even start.
⠀
Your going to fall over and remain stuck in a rut; struggling to get up and out of a constant cycle of frustration, broken focus and destructive habits.
⠀
Many people when looking at their journeys have fallen into the trap of comparing their beginning to someone else's middle or end and it only serves to reinforce negative feelings and mindsets.
⠀
This is not to say that you shouldn't be motivated by the journey of others as their successes can be important to your own success.
⠀
Remember though that first and foremost 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 ‘𝗬𝗼𝘂’, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲.

The same as a race horse wears blinkers to help focus its attention on what is in front of it, so should you remain ever conscious of where your going and not on what everyone else is doing.

Make no excuses, avoid being the victim - Carve your own path; find your own distinct voice and vision for your life, run your own race without concern about the opinion of those who do not matter, refuse to let others define who you are and finally stop comparing yourself to others.
