"Jeremy gave the Asian community a sense of pride and dignity on one of the world’s biggest stages which is the NBA. And that’s really something that I feel like when the ‘Linsanity' was happening and we saw his rise in the NBA.  For the longest time, Asian Americans were economically relevant in America, but culturally irrelevant. And for him to stand on the biggest stage as just a dude that everybody felt like they knew. Like I felt like I grew up with Jeremy, like I went to Kumon with Jeremy, I know what his mom’s living room smells like.  I know Jeremy. Like I know what their minivan looks like. And for him to score 38 points at the Garden or cross up John Wall and Dunk on Him was this moment of it was this culminating moment of a community of people around the world finally feeling seen on one of the most culturally relevant stages in the world.” ❤️Very well said Hasan hasanminhaj
