Thanks to Geoff Davis of The Computer Arts Society (CAS) computerartssoc one of the most important early organisations connecting art and computing in the UK - and globally(!)…for the opportunity to talk about the origins of DIGITALISM britishartfair. 
Founded in London in 1968, pioneers like Jasia Reichardt, Alan Sutcliffe, + George Mallen launched CAS to explore the creative potential of computers — hosting ‘Event One’ at the RCA, London in 1969, one of the world’s first computer art exhibitions.

Through its legendary journal PAGE, CAS connected artists, engineers + visionaries, shaping the future of digital creativity.

Dormant for a time, it was revived in the 90s and today continues to champion artists working with AI, VR, AR, generative + immersive art.
