How do I find these locations!?……👀👇🏻

Before we start bookmark this post for future reference 📕 

Any great public carp adventure needs a plan. It doesn’t have to be a detailed one but you at least need a heading or a rough destination so the first question is:

1. What do you want? First things first you need to decide what you want from your fishing. Do you want to be all alone on an island in the middle of the wilderness without a soul in sight or do you want to contend with other anglers in pursuit of potentially bigger carp?

2. How far are you willing to go? Some of the most remote and untouched locations are further south in Europe. This means 20+ hours of driving before you even get a rod out!

3. Do you have the right equipment? It’s not just a case of buying a boat and sailing off into the sunset, you need to plan and prepare your equipment so that you are prepared for the location. It’s no good turning up with a boat load of gear and no engine 🫣 even stephen Redgrave wouldn’t get far towing this lot around.

Once you’ve answered these questions you should have a better idea of what you want so..

STEP 1:
Research: Utilize online resources, local fishing forums, and maps to identify potential areas. Look for access routes, parking and permissions for any locations you like the look of.
STEP 2:
Network: Connect with other anglers and local fishing communities online and on social media to get tips and recommendations. The friends and connections you will make on your travels in person will also be priceless. People are always happy to swap stories and locations if you crack a beer together! 
STEP 3:
Permission: Ensure you have the necessary permits or permissions to fish in the area. Some remote locations may require special licenses or access arrangements.
STEP 4: MOST IMPORTANT!
Respect: Practice responsible angling and leave no trace, respect wildlife, and stick to local regulations to preserve the exclusivity of these remote locations. ALWAYS take your rubbish and respect other anglers 👌🏻
