Today is the 37th anniversary of the #Chornobyl nuclear disaster on April 26, 1986. ☢️

The explosion which start as a result of an uncontrolled reaction after the power cut at 01.23, is considered the worst nuclear disaster in the history of the world. Aside from the evacuation of 350.000 people, it continues to carry the effects of nuclear for decades, even though people move.

☢️ Chornobyl Disaster Remembrance Day is a day organized to raise awareness around the world about the consequences and risks of nuclear.

☢️ The Chornobyl Museum in Kyiv is a memory museum that provides a comprehensive overview of what exactly Chornobyl was.

☢️ The Museum is warning for the new generation and the aim is to conceive the lessons of the tragedy in all the spheres of life, lest the world forgets the lessons of Chornobyl.

☢️ This museum which documents, preserves, and conveys that the Chornobyl Nuclear Disaster was the most severe radioecological disaster of the 20th century, presents over 7000 documents that tell the story, including photos and videos, maps, confidential documents, some interactive stuff like phonebox (I don't understand what was she said, of course), lots of cultural objects, aid sent to Chornobyl children, comprehensive protective clothing.
