Here is a Design tip for you from our Principal Architect and Designer Mr Anshuman jain.
Step1: Clean up the metal base and apply a primer coat of NITOBOND-EP over it.
Step 2: Pour Biochem (karakol) screed mixed with stone dust of zone -2 grade. 
Step 3: Use BIOFLEX S1 adhesive for stone fixing
