My museum of failures at the age of 28. 💭

- I broke my spine in a horrific ski accident leading to pain killer dependency

- I burned every bridge of support to the ground and became homeless

- I drove a car through a church while under the influence in broad daylight in a “borrowed” car

- The day before driving a car through a church, I drove my own car into a apartment building while intoxicated. Hence why I “borrowed” a car the next day

- I didn’t let my parents and family sleep for years on end because they were so scared of getting “the call”

- I ruined things with “the one”, and I regret it to this day

- I spent the last years of my grandfathers life addicted and on the streets rather than being there for him. The most important man in my life. 

- I stole from everyone around me to support my non-stop addiction habit 

- I blamed my parents for my abuse as a child and would tell them they should’ve protected me more. They did everything they could to protect me

- I convinced a group of guys in rehab to do drugs with me. Some of those people were truly trying to get sober. Misery loves company.

- I faked attempting to end my existence to my family to avoid going to rehab again. Said I had issues in the head, not a drug problem

This barely scratches the surface. Why do I share this? Because you’re not alone. You’re never alone in this. Use my story as a testament to your recovery, because recovery is possible. You matter. I love you. I see you. I believe in you. I’m always here for you ❤️
