Three years ago,

I was caught in cycles I couldn’t see, chasing peace through chaos and calling it control.

When I removed the substances, I realized I didn’t know who I was.

I had built a façade — an image, a noise, a version of myself that couldn’t survive without distraction.

Sobriety stripped all of that away. It forced me to face the silence and rebuild from something real.

I learned stillness where I once sought escape. 

I learned to build instead of run.

Recovery became my reconstruction — brick by brick, breath by breath.

Now I wake to quiet mornings, clear thoughts, and a life shaped by God’s grace and work.

Three years later, I’m still here — present, grounded, alive. And that, to me, is the miracle.
