## Caption

Lunched at mohallarestaurant in d3dubai recently to try out their brand new #WinterMenu additions, and here's my take:

They've added 6 new dishes, 2 of which are appetisers. Vegetarians rejoice! 4 of these are #vegetarian 💚

The Appetisers
Shorshe Dum Aloo: stir-fried baby potatoes tossed in a fiery Bengali style mustard base, an acquired taste that the East Indian in me absolutely loved!
Guncha-e-phool gobi: this spicy tempura fried #cauliflower starter was so good, it fooled my veg-hating daughter!

For the Mains, they have not one but 2 #paneer based vegetarian dishes, both of which are uniquely different. I preferred the tomato-based Doodhiya Kadhai Masala as it lent more of a flavor contrast to otherwise bland #paneer (cottage cheese) as compared to the Nimona Paneer dish that looked beautiful but was paired with equally bland mashed peas as a filling (then again, I have a high spice quotient! Someone with a milder spice level and a love for peas would love this dish).

Murgh Kesar Kaliya is Mohalla's take on #butterchicken with a saffron-infused twist, but my favourite was the Matka Chicken, cooked in a traditional clay pot and brimming with the authentic spice mixes of the Champaran region of Bihar, India.

When in Mohalla, we always have to end with a plate of their crunchy, sweet #jalebi with rich, creamy rabdi #omnomnom
