Victim: Tarun Kumar, a 26-year-old student.
Location: JJ Colony, Uttam Nagar, southwest Delhi.
Date: March 4-5, 2026, during Holi festivities. 

Sequence of Events

The Trigger: Following an incident where a water balloon hit a woman, an argument ensued between two families.

The Attack: Later that night, Tarun was intercepted and assaulted with iron rods and bricks by a group.

Outcome: Tarun died from injuries at a local hospital. 

Police Action and Current Status

Arrests: Seven individuals were arrested, and one minor was detained.

Charges: A murder case has been registered under Section 103 of the BNS.

Security: Personnel were deployed to the area, and investigations are ongoing via CCTV
