Victorian Revival 

In this restored Victorian home, we carefully reintroduced period features to honour the property’s original charm while tailoring it for modern family living. 

We undertook a complete transformation, taking the house back to brick for a full reconfiguration. Our work included adding new joists, digging out the basement level to correct structural damage, and straightening the floors, all while installing entirely new services throughout the property. 

In the living room, elegant cornicing and Carrara marble fireplace were reinstated to provide timeless focal points, and we designed bespoke shelving to frame the space beautifully. These handcrafted shelves provide storage and serve as a statement feature for books and treasures. 

We chose a rich, moody wall colour to add drama and depth, creating a cosy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Darker tones are a practical choice for family homes, being easier to maintain than pale colours while offering striking visual impact. 

🔑 Design Tip: 

When restoring a period home, reintroducing traditional architectural details like cornicing or fireplaces can add depth and authenticity. Pairing these with bespoke joinery and thoughtful colour choices ensures the design feels fresh and functional for contemporary living.
